At International Journeys we take great pride in offering tours of a high standard. Students on tour with us are our first priority and our aim is to give students touring with us an amazing life changing experience within a safe environment.
Safety
Safety is our first priority and we only use services of a high standard. These are provided by local Cambodians with whom we have had long and close relations and who regard the safety of their guests as being of paramount importance.
A western doctor whom we have had long association with has practiced in Cambodia for over a decade and is always happy to help with any problems or queries our guests have while they are in the country. An international hospital of good reputation is nearby in case of any serious injuries or illnesses. For their safety, travel insurance is provided for all students and teachers who tour with us.
We also choose clean, safe accommodation and reliable and clean restaurants.
Before leaving to go on tour, we meet with teachers for a thorough Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis for the tour ahead.
Student Ratios
We maintain a ratio of one teacher for every ten students, and in addition to this we also allocate one Cambodian staff member for every four students so as to provide maximum support and safety for students.
Cultural Respect
Cambodia and Singapore have very strong cultural values, yet they are also extremely tolerant of other cultures and visitors to their country.
On our tours we are always mindful of the culture of the country we are in and show respect for it in everything we do. On arrival in Cambodia we run through a brief cultural orientation. This allows us to immerse ourselves positively in the communities in the countries we visit.
